There was no dispute as to retainer or the amount due. Under Section 51(2) of the Advocates Act, the certificate of costs is final and judgment should be entered for the certified sum. Regarding interest, the court held that interest at 14% per annum is chargeable from the expiry of one month after delivery of the bill to the client, as per Rule 7 of the Advocates (Remuneration) Order.
