The Plaintiffs failed to comply with the mandatory procedure for objecting to a taxed bill of costs as set out under Rule 11 of the Advocates (Remuneration) Order 2009. They did not file a notice of objection within the prescribed 14 days, nor did they seek leave of the court to file their objection out of time. The evidence showed that the Plaintiffs were served with the bill of costs and notice of taxation, and even if there was any doubt, they were certainly aware of the ruling by 8th February 2019 when served with the notice to show cause.
