The High Court lacks jurisdiction to entertain disputes arising from the nomination of members to county assemblies via party lists after gazettement. The Constitution and electoral laws establish a special dispute resolution mechanism for electoral disputes, including nominations, which must be pursued through election petitions before the designated election court (Resident Magistrate’s Court).
