Consequently, any rights accruing to the defendant under that judgment were extinguished, and the land reverted to the estate of the original owner, Mahoru. The plaintiffs, as administrators and confirmed beneficiaries of the estate, became the legal owners of the suit property. However, the court held that a beneficial owner cannot claim adverse possession against themselves or the estate they represent, and thus the plaintiffs' claim for adverse possession failed....
