Therefore, there was no sufficient ground to set aside the warrant of arrest or execution orders. However, the court accepted the applicant's explanation for the delay in filing an appeal, namely the lack of communication from his former advocates and his efforts to follow up on the matter. The delay was found to be just over five months, and the court was satisfied that the applicant had demonstrated good and sufficient cause for not filing the appeal in time.
