Ruling
1. On November 15, 2022, the applicant was sentenced to serve 15 years imprisonment upon being convicted of the offence of Murder contrary section 203 as read with section 204 of the Penal Code, vide HCR E030/2021. He now applies to this court seeking for sentence reduction.
2. Punishment for murder is death.
3. The applicant was given a slap on the shoulder with lenient sentence where a precious life was lost.
4. I have no jurisdiction to reduce that sentence further.
5. The application dated February 14, 2023 is misconceived and devoid of any merit. It is hereby dismissed.
6. I so order. File closed.
