The bill was taxed and a Certificate of Costs issued, which was not contested by the respondent even after entering appearance. Section 51(2) of the Advocates Act provides that such a certificate is final as to the amount unless set aside, and the court may enter judgment for the certified sum. Paragraph 7 of the Advocates Remuneration Order entitles the advocate to interest at 14% per annum from 30 days after service of the bill.
