Where a certificate of taxation has not been set aside or altered and there is no dispute as to retainer, the court is empowered to enter judgment for the taxed amount in favour of the advocate. The applicant demonstrated that the bill of costs was taxed and a certificate issued, with no evidence of payment or dispute as to retainer. The court found no reason to deny judgment. Regarding interest, the law provides for 14% per annum from 30 days after service of the bill of costs. As there was no evidence of the exact date of service, the court used the date when the respondent's counsel entered appearance as the service date, and interest accrues from 30 days thereafter.
