Where a certificate of taxation has not been set aside or altered and there is no dispute as to retainer, the court is empowered to enter judgment for the taxed costs in favour of the advocate. The applicant demonstrated that the bill of costs was taxed and a certificate issued, and the respondent did not contest the application or the retainer. The court found no reason to deny judgment. Regarding interest, Rule 7 of the Advocates Remuneration Order entitles the advocate to 14% per annum from 30 days after service of the bill.
