Ratio Decidendi

The bill of costs was delivered to the respondent on 14th June 2019, and under Rule 7 of the Advocates Remuneration Order, interest at 14% per annum is payable from 30 days after delivery, i.e., from 14th July 2019. The respondent did not oppose the application or dispute the retainer or the amount. Accordingly, the certificate of costs was adopted as a judgment and decree of the court, with interest and costs as prayed.
