The respondent failed to file a notice of appeal within the prescribed fourteen-day period following delivery of the award, despite clear knowledge of the decision and intention to appeal as evidenced by correspondence to the court. The rules do not require a party to have a copy of the award before lodging a notice of appeal, nor is extraction of the order or decree a prerequisite. No application for extension of time to file the notice of appeal was made. As a result, the respondent's right of appeal was extinguished by the passage of time, and there is no legal basis for granting a stay of execution.
