The Tribunal found that the Appellant failed to comply with the statutory timelines for lodging a notice of objection to the VAT assessments, as required by Section 51(2) of the Tax Procedures Act. Although the law allows for late objections under Section 51(6)-(7), the Appellant did not provide sufficient evidence to justify the delay. The Respondent exercised its discretion to reject the late objection, and as a result, there was no valid objection decision against which an appeal could be lodged.
