The High Court held that the right to appeal against an order under Order 22 Rule 42 is not automatic and must be preceded by leave, which RAL did not obtain. The court further found that the deductions for loan repayments to the employer do not take precedence over court-ordered deductions, as per Section 19(1)(h) of the Employment Act.
