The High Court lacks jurisdiction to determine disputes relating to ownership of land following the promulgation of the 2010 Constitution and the enactment of the Environment and Land Court Act. Article 162(2) of the Constitution and section 13 of the Environment and Land Court Act vest exclusive jurisdiction over such matters in the Environment and Land Court. Article 165(5) expressly removes the High Court's jurisdiction in these matters.
