The Land Disputes Tribunal, as established under the now repealed Land Disputes Tribunal Act, had jurisdiction only over disputes relating to the division or determination of boundaries to land, claims to occupy or work land, or trespass to land. The dispute before the Tribunal concerned ownership of registered land, specifically whether the interested party was entitled to half of the suit land by virtue of purchase. This was outside the statutory jurisdiction of the Tribunal. Any decision made outside jurisdiction is a nullity and liable to be quashed by certiorari.
