The court found that the prosecution had called nine witnesses whose evidence, taken at its highest, established a prima facie case against all accused persons. The court was satisfied that the evidence was sufficient to require the accused to be put on their defence for the charge of murder. Accordingly, the accused persons were found to have a case to answer and were placed on their defence in accordance with Section 306(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code.
