The High Court found that the Rent Restriction Tribunal acted in breach of the rules of natural justice by failing to notify or hear the applicants, who had a proprietary interest in the suit premises, before issuing adverse eviction orders. The Tribunal's directive for police enforcement of its orders was ultra vires, as enforcement should have been referred to the Magistrate's Court under Section 31 of the Rent Restriction Act. Furthermore, the Interested Party was represented by an unqualified advocate, contrary to Sections 31 and 34 of the Advocates Act, rendering the proceedings and orders a nullity.
