Section 3(1) of the Land Disputes Tribunal Act, 1990 limited the Tribunal's jurisdiction to matters of division, boundary determination, occupation, or trespass, and did not extend to questions of ownership or title. The Tribunal's decision, and its subsequent adoption by the subordinate court, were therefore null and void ab initio.
