The exclusion of such days, as provided under Order 50 of the Civil Procedure Rules, applies only to periods prescribed by the Rules or court orders, not to statutory periods. Section 57 of the Interpretation and General Provisions Act only allows exclusion of Sundays and Public Holidays where the period prescribed is six days or less, which was not the case here.
