The appellant failed to seek such extension or provide evidence of active steps to file the intended appeal. No letter requesting proceedings was attached to the affidavit, and there was no indication of diligence in pursuing the appeal. Consequently, the conditional stay lapsed automatically after six months, and the appellant was no longer entitled to its protection.
