The retainer was not disputed, and the certificate of costs had not been set aside or altered. In the absence of any opposition or reference by the client, and pursuant to Section 51(2) of the Advocates Act, the court held that the certificate of costs is final as to the amount due. The court therefore entered judgment for the applicant/advocate for the taxed costs, together with interest from 16th December 2009, and granted liberty to execute against the respondent.
