The inability to register the vesting order on the original lease, due to its loss, was not attributable to the Applicants. The court was satisfied that the vendors had executed the Deed of Assignment in favour of the Applicants and that only a duplicate lease was available. Given the unopposed nature of the application and the supporting evidence, the court exercised its discretion to authorize the Land Registrar to register the vesting order on the duplicate copy of the lease, thereby enabling the Applicants to be reflected as joint registered owners of Flat...
