The court, having convicted Charity Chebet on her own plea of guilty, determined that a probation sentence was appropriate given her circumstances and the need to ensure her safety and that of her children. The court ordered that she serve her three-year probation at the safest location, identified as Kapenguria, and directed the Prison Service to escort her to the Kapenguria Probation Offices for the commencement of her sentence under probation.
