Based on binding Court of Appeal authority, the High Court's jurisdiction to extend time under Section 7 of the Appellate Jurisdiction Act is limited to situations where no Notice of Appeal has yet been filed. Once a Notice of Appeal is on record, any extension of time to file the record of appeal falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal.
