The appellate court found that the trial magistrate erred in awarding maintenance to the respondent and to the first issue of marriage who was already over 18 years at the time of determination. The evidence showed that the respondent was gainfully employed as a teacher and financially stable, while the appellant's income was not clearly established but he could not escape parental responsibility. The law provides for maintenance of children up to the age of 18 unless special circumstances exist.
