The amendment to Section 65(1) of the Constitution, to the extent that it deems the joining of any other political party or any association or organization whose objectives or activities are political in nature as crossing the floor, is inconsistent with the Constitution as it severely abridges the freedom of association and political rights under Sections 32 and 40.
