Ratio Decidendi

The appellant's contract was unlawfully terminated, entitling him to salary, compensation, notice, annual leave, food and shelter as per law, but only up to the expiry of the fixed-term contract (16th November 2009). The Tribunal erred in awarding salary up to the date of judgment. The appellant is not entitled to overtime or salary in Euros, as he accepted and claimed salary in US Dollars. Food and shelter must be provided as per statutory provisions, but only at a reasonable rate after salary entitlement ceases.
