Official sourceLocal Government Service Commission (1) There is established the Local Government Service Commission. (2) The Local Government Service Commission shall— (a) appoint the Town Clerk and Council Secretary of a local authority; (b) constitute offices in the Local Government Service; (c) appoint, confirm, promote and hear appeals from officers of the Local Government Service; (d) ensure efficient and effective functioning of local authorities; and (e) perform such other functions as prescribed.
