The Constitution is amended by the repeal of Article 68 Repeal and and the substitution therefor of the following: replacement of Article 68 68. (1) Subject to Article 82 (5), the National Assembly Composition shall consist of — of National Assembly (a) two hundred and twenty-six Members of Parliament holding constituency-based seats; (b) forty Members of Parliament holding seats under the proportional representation electoral system in accordance with Article 47 (2) (b) as follows: (i) twenty women; 180 No. 13 of 2025] Constitution of Zambia (Amendment) (ii) fifteen youths; and (iii) five persons with disabilities; (c) not more than eleven nominated Members of Parliament; (d) the Vice-President; (e) the Speaker; and (f) the First and Second Deputy Speakers. (2) Notwithstanding clause (1) (c), the number of nominated Members of Parliament shall not exceed five percent of the Members of Parliament holding constituency- based seats.
