Statute overview

About this statute

Credit cooperatives may be temporarily assisted through joint administration, if the article’s conditions are met. A group of credit cooperatives in the same cooperative system may carry out credit operations that share resources and risks. The CMN will set the conditions for contracting those operations. This law takes effect on the date it is published. Unclaimed balances owed to expelled, removed, or excluded members of a credit cooperative must be moved to the cooperative’s reserve fund after 5 years.
