Given unanimous psychiatric evidence that the applicant suffers from a serious mental disorder, has a high propensity for violence, poor insight and an unpredictable prognosis, the sentencing judge was correct to make a s.45 hospital order for an indefinite period rather than specify a term; the appeal against sentence is without merit and is refused.
