    The Court of Appeal allowed the appeal, holding that the trial judge's finding that HK$1,060,000 and the Los Angeles premises were not partnership investments was plainly wrong because it rested on illogical reasoning inconsistent with unchallenged findings and contemporaneous documentary and banking evidence (notably the 13 June 1997 fax and payment records); accordingly paragraphs (3), (4) and (5) of the trial judge's order were set aside and the court held that the HK$1,060,000 and the Premises formed part of the partnership's investment in Eagle Plastic.
