    Citation
    [2014] NZACC 207
    Court
    District Court

There is no statutory authority under the Accident Compensation Act 2001 to pay interest on unpaid interest (compound interest); therefore the appellant's claim for interest on interest fails and the appeal is dismissed.

    Lye v Accident Compensation Corporation

    Citation
    [2007] NZACC 7
    Court
    District Court

On the balance of probabilities the court found the October 1990 motor accident caused additional neurological injury that continues to contribute significantly to the appellant's current incapacity; the ACC decision to suspend entitlements was therefore quashed and entitlements attributable to the covered injury reinstated and backdated to the date of cessation.
