The Court of Appeal held the sentencing judge erred in refusing any additional discount for the applicant's assistance to the prosecution because, despite some adverse credibility findings, there was material consistency between the applicant's testimony and his earlier non‑prejudicial statement and the applicant placed himself at risk by testifying; the applicant was entitled to an overall discount of about 40% from the starting points, producing substituted concurrent sentences of 4.5 years (robbery) and 7 months (theft).
