Leave to appeal was refused because the judge correctly decided the voir dire, the admissions and VRIs were admissible as voluntary, the summing-up and directions (including on the co-defendant, medical complaint hearsay and DNA transfer) were fair and in accordance with established principles, and there was no reasonably arguable error given the strength of the evidence against the applicant.
