Given the benefit conferred on the liquidations and creditors, absence of evidence of misconduct or conflict, the statutory power to authorise payments under s200(3), and the disproportionate cost of individual inquiries, the court exercised its discretion under section 200(3) to retrospectively authorise the Panel B appointments and to permit payment of agents' fees out of company assets subject to taxation and ordinary scrutiny.
