Section 182 does not invalidate the assignment executed by receivers of property charged under a debenture and a validation order under section 182 can be granted to validate that assignment; such a validation order does not prevent subsequent challenges to the transaction on other grounds unrelated to the presentation of the winding-up petition. Therefore the assignment of 17 December 2009 was validated by the court.
