Because both parties contributed to unnecessary hearing time and the defendant had in fact filed and served its reply before the 30 January 2018 hearing (rendering much of the plaintiff's summons otiose), para 7 of the Jan 2018 order was varied so each party bears its own costs of the expert reports summons; the defendant's application was allowed in part and the plaintiff was ordered to pay half the costs of the application to the defendant, to be summary assessed with timelines for lodging costs and objections.
