The court held that the company owed a substantial sum in excess of the statutory threshold, that the Liaison Office/Government had authorised the petition, and that an assignee of the debt (including an equitable assignee in these circumstances) had sufficient locus to present a winding-up petition without joining the trustee/assignor; accordingly a winding-up order was made and costs were ordered against the opposing contributory.
