The Master concluded the Court of Appeal's formal order entitled the plaintiffs to costs below in full; defendants could not add limitations not expressed in the order; most defendants' objections were therefore rejected, the brief fee of HKD 250,000 for counsel was maintained as reasonable, the HKD 50,000 interim counsel fee was disallowed as it amounted to preparation for the first day and thus fell within the brief, and the defendants were ordered to pay 85% of the costs of the review to the plaintiffs to be summarily assessed.
