THE QUEEN v. CHAN CHUN MAN
- Citation
- THE QUEEN v. CHAN CHUN MAN
- Court
- Court of Appeal
- Case number
- CACC326/1985
The convictions on Counts 1, 2 and 4 were quashed because, taken together, misdirections (insufficient warning about the limited weight of common Group A semen evidence and improper treatment of the section 65C admission) and concerns about the safety of the identification left a real possibility of miscarriage of justice; Count 5 was upheld because its identification was reliable and the sentence of 8 years was not manifestly excessive.
