The Court held the trial judge was entitled to find on the evidence that the applicant operated the two accounts and that the pattern and scale of deposits and transfers provided reasonable grounds to believe the monies were proceeds of indictable offences, so leave to appeal against conviction was dismissed; however, on sentencing the Court reduced the concurrent sentences from 32 months to 30 months’ imprisonment on misericordiam grounds given the unexpected death of the applicant's cohabitee and the impact on her child.
