Defendants breached the DMC by erecting the watchman post without Building Authority consent; it was reasonable for plaintiffs to obtain and rely on legal advice after the building order and the plaintiffs' subsequent legal costs were causally linked to the defendants' breach; accordingly plaintiffs were entitled to recover the full claimed legal costs of $67,510 plus interest and costs of the action.
