The declared trusts failed: No.152 failed because the provision to apply rents for ancestral worship created a private non‑charitable trust of indefinite duration and thus was invalid, producing a resulting trust for the settlor; Nos.154 and 156 likewise failed because either their terms were construed as benefiting clan relations (not charitable) or lacked evidence of valid corporate/quasi‑corporate donees or of any loan associations, and gifts of income for indefinite duration to the tongs were invalid. Consequently all three properties are held on resulting trust for the settlor's estate.
