Because the court lacks power to suspend a sentence for robbery the suspension order of 27 September 1975 was void; accordingly the 18‑month sentence imposed on 16 August 1975 must be served from that date and was ordered to run concurrently with the six‑month sentence imposed on 9 February 1976.
