The High Court refused to overturn the trial judge's acceptance of the prosecution witness's credibility because the judge gave rational reasons supported by video and medical evidence and the appellate standard requires deference absent a clear and demonstrable error; on that basis the prosecution proved assault beyond reasonable doubt and the conviction is safe.
