Although s67A(1A)'s proximity requirement meant the 59 days' administrative detention could not be automatically deducted under the statutory mechanism, fairness required the sentencing court to exercise its residual discretion and reduce the 15 month sentence by 59 days; appeal allowed to that limited extent.
