Leave to appeal against conviction and sentence refused because the trial judge's summing up and directions were adequate: warnings about accomplice evidence left credibility to the jury, the applicant's good character was properly directed, remarks about 'morality' did not amount to misdirection, interruptions did not prejudice the applicant, and the sentence was not excessive given the seriousness, duration and international character of the offences and the betrayal of public trust by a senior customs officer.
