The court found the applicant discharged the burden: there were reasonable grounds to doubt the independence and impartiality of the incumbent liquidators (prior retainer of OLN, invalid proxy votes by an OLN trainee, related‑party links and unexplained large marketing expenses) and the matters required independent investigation; accordingly s252 empowered the court to remove the liquidators and appoint independent insolvency practitioners.
