Defendant failed to establish the bona fide purchaser defence: he did not provide value because the USDT did not belong to him or was not shown to be his consideration; he did not act in good faith given circumstantial and direct evidence of an organised scheme, suspicious banking patterns and concealment; and he had constructive notice or at least suspicions that required inquiry which he did not make. Judgment for plaintiff for unjust enrichment followed.
